Food & Drinks (foodanddrinks.com.au) is operated by Boxa Network Pty Ltd (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices about that information.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you sign up for our newsletter, leave a comment, fill in our contact form, or respond to a survey, we collect the information you provide (usually name and email address).

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our web host and analytics tools automatically receive standard log information: your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on page, referring URL. This is used to understand how the site is being used and to improve it.

Cookies. We use cookies to remember your preferences, to keep you logged in where applicable, and to measure site traffic. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most of the site works normally with cookies disabled.

What we do with it

We use your information to:

  • Send you the newsletter if you’ve signed up for it.
  • Respond to messages you send us via the contact form or email.
  • Understand how the site is being used (aggregate analytics only).
  • Prevent abuse, spam, and security problems.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third parties we use

We use a small number of service providers to operate the site:

  • Google Analytics 4 for aggregate site analytics.
  • Google Search Console for search performance data.
  • MailerLite (or equivalent) for newsletter delivery.
  • WPMUDEV as our web hosting and security provider.
  • Cloudflare (if applicable) as our DNS and performance layer.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We’ve chosen them because they meet standards we’re comfortable with.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
  • Delete your comments. Request removal of any comment you’ve posted by emailing hello@foodanddrinks.com.au.
  • Request your data or deletion. If you’d like a copy of any personal information we hold about you, or would like us to delete it, email hello@foodanddrinks.com.au. We’ll respond within 30 days.
  • Control cookies through your browser settings.

Children

The site is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we’ll notify you and any required regulator.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change. Substantive changes will be flagged via the newsletter or a notice on the site.
